Mrs Athina Kokonozi is a Physicist (University of Thessaloniki, 1995) with broad experience in information processing for health applications, the preparation of research proposals and the management of research projects in the above field. She had cooperation with research institutes in Greece: University of Thessaloniki, Centre for Research and Technology-Hellas (CERTH)-Information Technologies Institute (ITI) in Thessaloniki, School of Engineering in Xanthi and University of Patras. In abroad her working experience was in Joint Research Center (JRC), European Commission as a grand holder for her work in image processing and later as an auxiliary agent and research assistant on the definition of the procedures to assess member states compliance to EU regulations and the Impact of EU policy options. Athina Kokonozi has been has been the (co)author of publications in refereed journals, and international conferences in the fields of Signal Processing and Biomedical Engineering , and has been actively involved in a number of health related EU and national research projects.
